Urban dictionary definition: Dime Piece - An extremely beatiful female.

I got the above definition from urbandictionary.com as dime piece of course isn't a real word, it's slang, and so I doubt it'll be in the national dictionary :) Well the name... I love it, and if you don't then that's even better! I wanted something original and personal. I hear the phrase dime piece in many lyrics of my favourite songs and so eventually it made sense to name my site something like that. It's different anyway so it's unlikely you'll forget it or get my site name mixed up with another as most sites these days are named "vintage" something or other... You get where im going with this. Its personal, yah dig? ...The little x is just for pretty-ness :)
the story
Now I'm not sure whether people actually spend their time reading these paragraphs but just incase you do, here's the xdimepiece story.. Like most site owners these days i started off with good old piczo. Back in the school years when everyone had one, you know what I'm talkin 'bout haha, it was named xxcarlyle69xx or something tacky like that.. One by one my pals stopped making their sites but by then I kinda liked the whole web design thing. My site wasn't ewt special just full of pink and glitter and I'd never even heard of Photoshop, but that's how all sites looked those days and despite the ugly-ness all my mates would say mine stood out from the rest so i ended up keeping it.
I soon learnt how to make graphics and ditched the whole glitter look as everyone was then making little layouts with big text links to other pages and so on, I find it funny how even website styles come in and out of fashion. My site soon became really popular, no idea how. I had it for about a year-ish, it's still knocking about somewhere because I didn't close it or even leave a goodbye message I just abandoned it when me and my boyfriend split up, you all know how heart break can be lol that was the first time we split up and I were quite a mess so web design was the last thing on my mind.
I eventually came back to piczo a few months later. I still didn't return to my old site though, just left it as it was and made a new site named gangsterish or something cheesey like that. I never posted on my old site that iI had made a new one but somehow people heard that I had and someone made a site named carleybee and it was just a page with a shoutbox and a message saying "where has carly bee gone?" Gotta admit, I was quite flattered but a little scared too haha, people getting obsessed with someone over the net that they've never met, not good. So on with the tale.. I soon got bored and shut that site too. Everyone seemed to be closing their sites and the inspiration was just not flowing. About a year later I decided I wanted a real site, which is when xdimepiece was made. It originally opened as a freewebs/piczo site in December 2007, but it wasn't long till I got hosted and now here we are! I finally have my own domain :) which has been online since 9th march 2008.
